Jenny and Mike wanted to create more spaces in their home to appeal to families. I looked at spaces that were not being utilised. I came up with the suggestion that they convert the formal lounge and dining which was never used, into great rumpus area. We then opened it up into the bedroom wing for easy access for children.
New tiles were chosen to replace the carpet. The walls were painted blue. Pelmets were removed. An archway into the room was closed off. New built in bench seats were added.
Now when selling, this room can be a rumpus room, a family room, a large home office, a parents retreat or it could easily be converted into two more bedrooms. The key during property renovatation is to add spaces that are versatile to appeal to more buyers or renters.
